Majorelle come il nome di chi l'ha coniato senza volerlo, Jacques Majorelle figlio d'arte e pittore della scuola di Nancy: celebre movimento artistico dell'Art Nouveau. Era il 1924 quando il pittore cominciò la sua opera di restauro che durò circa 40 anni per creare uno dei Giardini botanici oggi fra i più importanti del mondo che sorge nel centro della città rossa di Marrakech.
Un percorso incantato che si snoda fra alberi e piante esotiche, ruscelli d'acqua e fontane, fiori di loto e una moltitudine di uccelli che fanno da sfondo a questo giardino delle meraviglie dove il Blu Majorelle si è riversato in ogni angolo di cemento accanto a pochi altri colori primari.
